Mathild Clerc-Verhoeven

Mathild (France, 1993) is a visual artist based in Amsterdam and Brussels. She focuses on the essence of public space, not as a single street, a place or a monument but as a condition for democracy. This public space requires broad participation and creates relational awareness, yet it is threatened by various forms of privatisation. She uses videos, textiles, text and sculptures to approach these issues of shared concern.
